Don’t these photos just make you crave brownies? I made those earlier today and I’ve already eaten three! Oh well, I mean you have to treat to yourself after a long day of writing stuff for uni, right?
By the way, I found this super cute cutting board at one of my favourite stores today and for some reason everything there only cost 2€ today. This cutting board was supposed to cost 10€ and I got it for 2€. I guess it’s my lucky day. 🙂
Anyways, I found this recipe years ago in one of my mum’s recipe books and I haven’t looked back since. I only changed a couple of things, to make it even richer. It’s just perfect. Chocolate-y soft-in-the-centre-goodness, that’s just perfect for all your chocolate cravings.
- 460g dark chocolate (You can use whatever you have at home really. I just wouldn’t recommend only using milk chocolate,as the recipe would turn out too sweet. But you can certainly mix milk chocolate and dark chocolate.)
- 250g Butter
- 280g plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1tbsp cocoa powder
- a good pinch of salt
- 430g sugar
- a few drops of pure vanilla extract
- 6 eggs
Melt together 400g of the chocolate and all of the butter. The easiest way to do this is in the microwave. Just make sure you don’t leave it in for too long. Chop the remaining chocolate roughly.
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F.
Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa.
Add the sugar and pure vanilla extract to the chocolate mixture and beat until combined. After this, add one egg at a time. Beat until each egg is fully incorporated in the batter before adding the next one.
Beat in the flour mixture and, once everything is combined, add the chopped chocolate and fold it in.
Pour the batter onto a greased, parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 180C/350F for 25min.
